Leyton Orient players and staff breathed a sigh of relief when money started filtering through to their accounts for their April pay packet.
As of 9am, no one had received any wages but this soon changed when some members saw money in their bank accounts.
However, it is unclear who has and has not been paid and whether this will extend to matchday staff as well as the freelancers.
The loyal backroom team had to almost wait a month for their March wages which came on Monday, but part-time staff had not received any form of payment.
Over the past week, concerned staff released two statements asking for clarity from the O's board of directors and then asking the FA and EFL to act on their behalf.
And when approached by the Guardian Series when sitting in first class last Saturday, when staff remain unpaid, chief operating officer Vito Miceli had no answers to any questions posed to him.
Last month, the east London club were handed a winding-up petition from HMRC on March 1 over an unpaid tax bill estimated to be around £125,000 to £250,000.
Owner Francesco Becchetti has paid that bill but other creditors have since taken over the petition and they are both due to appear at High Court on Monday, June 12.
It remains unclear what plans the Italian has for the club since they were relegated into the National League for the first time in 112-years.
