West Ham United are expected to reject any bids for Winston Reid, with Everton Reportedly interested in the centre-back.

The Toffees are said to be considering a £9million swoop for the New Zealand international who arrived in east London from FC Midtylland in 2010.

He has gone on to become an integral part of the Hammers set up since, playing 203 times and captaining the side on a number of occasions.

Ronald Koeman is eager to add strength in depth to his Everton squad and views the Hammers number two as the ideal player to do so in defence.

United, however, are keen to keep hold of the 29-year-old, who played 30 Premier League outings last term.

Hammers boss Slaven Bilic would be loathed to lose a player who he values, after what has been a productive transfer window for the club.

The Irons have so far added Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic to their ranks.

Bilic will also be concerned by rumours emanating from the other side of Merseyside, where Liverpool are reportedly targeting a move for Manuel Lanzini.

The Argentine’s influence at London Stadium grew considerably in the second half of last season as he stepped up following the departure of Dimitri Payet in January.

Liverpool’s interest in the 24-year-old is thought to be linked to Barcelona’s pursuit of star man Philippe Coutinho.

The Catalan’s are mooted to be preparing an £80m bid for the Brazilian and it is believed Lanzini fits the bill for a replacement.

But West Ham are desperate to keep hold of a player who contributed eight goals in the 2016/17 campaign.

The club are said to believe losing Lanzini would send the wrong message ahead of the new season.
