ARSENAL forward Robin van Persie has been included in the 18-man squad for tonight's Champions League quarter-final second leg at Anfield, writes Alex Sexton.
The 24-year-old Dutch forward was a doubt after fears he had suffered a recurrence of a thigh injury in the first encounter between the two sides. This was the same injury that has kept van Persie on the sidelines for much of the season.
He missed Saturday's 1-1 draw with Liverpool at The Emirates, but has been passed fit enough to travel with the squad to Merseyside and is in contention to play in the crucial tie.
Another player back in the Arsenal squad for tonight's game is Abou Diaby. The Frenchman returns after a domestic suspension and joins Philippe Senderos who was rested at the weekend.
Missing out for the Gunners are the injured trio of Bacary Sagna (ankle), Eduardo(broken leg) and Tomas Rosicky (knee). Also out is Armand Traore who is dropped after playing at the weekend.
Arsenal (from): Lehmann, Diaby, Fabregas, Toure, Senderos, Gallas, van Persie, Hleb, Flamini, Song, Gilberto, Clichy, Almunia, Adebayor, Bendtner, Eboue, Hoyte, Walcott.
