THE Independent claim that Arsenal will replace AC Milian bound Mathieu Flamini with Lille Jean Makoun.
According to a report in the paper, the agent of the Cameroon international could be set to move to the Emirates Stadium next season.
Makoun is said to have caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger with some impressive displays in the Champions League, notably against Manchester United.
Arsenal could however face stiff competition from bitter rivals Tottenham, who are also said to be in the running to sign the 24-year-old.
