MARCOS SENNA looks set to snub interest from Arsenal after pledging his future to Villarreal.
The Spanish midfielder has been heavily linked with the Gunners and was touted as a possible replacement for Mathieu Flamini after some impressive displays during Spain's run to Euro 2008 glory.
Arsene Wenger was understood to be interested in the defensive midfielder, but Senna has quashed any speculation by insisting he is happy with the Yellow Submarines.
"I met with the president of Villarreal on Tuesday and we talked about extending my contract by two years," Senna said in The Sun.
"But now I want to rest. I am on holiday and hope to detach myself from these things."
Villarreal president Fernando Roig also moved to dismiss the speculation, saying: "He wants to stay for life with us and he's a great person.
"We are very proud of him. Senna is happy here and they are staying at Villarreal."
