SAMIR Nasri's proposed transfer from Marseille to Arsenal is finally expected to be completed in the 'next few days'.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had wanted the £12million deal wrapped up before Euro 2008 - where Nasri played a bit-part role in France's disappointing campaign - but that never materialised.
Then the player himself announced on his website that that he had already departed the Ligue 1 outfit for the Emirates, only for it to be retracted and then denied by his agent and his club.
However, Marseille chairman Pape Diouf - who has since signed Lyon's Hatem Ben Arfa as Nasri's replacement - has stated that only completion of the necessary paperwork looks to be standing in the way of the 21-year-old forward's move to north London.
"The documents need to be fufilled," said Diouf. "A few days are still needed."
Nasri would become Wenger's second summer signing following Aaron Ramsey's arrival from Cardiff.
