WEST Ham boss Alan Curbishley will look to maintain his sides flying start to the season by trying to tie down Swedish legend Henrik Larsson in a shock loan move.
The former Barcelona frontman completed a similar switch to Manchester United in 2007, and it is thought Curbishley is looking to do the same to strengthen his injury-hit squad before the transfer window shuts on Monday night.
The 36-year-old proved a big hit at Old Trafford, and according to media reports, he could be set for a short spell at Upton Park from Swedish club Helsingborgs IF.
The Hammers have made their best start to a Premier League campaign in nine years, after yesterday's 4-1 thumping of Blackburn made it two wins from three.
And ex-Charlton boss Curbishley is keen to keep the momentum going, as he continues his chase targets including £5million - rated midfielder Stephen Appiah from Fenerbahce.
