TOTTENHAM winger Aaron Lennon is being linked with a shock January move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

According to media reports the England international is seen as an ideal replacement for new Manchester City signing Robinho, who quit the Bernabeu on the last day of the summer transfer window.

The story will be a surprise to most, especially Tottenham boss Juande Ramos, who doesn't really see the 21-year-old former Leeds flyer in his long-term plans after signing David Bentley from Blackburn Rovers this summer.
