DAGENHAM & Redbridge midfielder Stuart Thurgood has been ruled out of action for up to three months after undergoing surgery.

The 28-year-old had cartilage in his knee removed and repaired and will be sidelined until February at the earliest.

Thurgood has been out of action since November with the injury but has only recently gone under the knife to cure the problem.

On-loan Gillingham midfielder Adam Miller has stepped in for the injured man and has recently had his initial one-month loan extended for another month.
