ORIENT: v Dagenham and Redbridge preview

9:20am Saturday 4th September 2010

Orient have not the best record against the Daggers, which makes this east London derby an intriguing match.

The last time the pair clashed was in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in 2007.

That day, the O’s were sunk by a single Ben Strevens goal.

But on Saturday goals may be harder for Daggers to come by, with the sale this week of hitman Paul Benson to Charlton Athletic, for a rumoured £250,000 fee.

boss John Still was determined to recruit replacements before the transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday evening, but Benson is sure to be missed.

Despite his absence, the ex-non league outfit, still cruelly dubbed by some critics as a ‘dog and duck' side still carry a threat.

Danny Green is a creative midfielder who is at the point of so many of Daggers’ attacks.

The 22 year-old is one of the non-league gems Still as a reputation for developing so well.

Green is capable of giving the defence a torrid time, especially if Charlie Daniels is not fit after he limped off last weekend.

Steven Demetriou, brother of ex-O Jason, is in John Still’s squad
