ORIENT: Dawson's Awesome Column

11:00am Friday 3rd September 2010

The boys were getting a bit edgy as early results have not all gone our way, so the way we got the win over Exeter City was special.

It was good to see everyone wanting the ball last weekend. Everyone’s putting in hard graft.

I said to Alex (Revell) after he got the first goal that I had to wait for him to get back to the centre circle, because I could not run over to him!

I thought that I had actually opened the scoring a bit earlier in the game, after Alex (Revell) laid it up for my shot and their keeper fumbled it.

But it was great to see Coxy (Cox) get his goal later on. We dubbed him Dean Slade this week after how he celebrated with the gaffer.

The win had been coming, and now Dagenham and Redbridge is the big one on Saturday.

It’s a good chance for back-to-back wins.

Paul Benson, their striker, has gone and that will make a bit harder for them, but they’re not a one-man team and we won’t go there just expecting to get the three points.

The way we've been getting it down and playing football is good, and we don’t panic when we’ve not got the ball.

Not one team has played us off the park in the league and its a tough division.
