There was narrow defeat for Orient’s youngsters in a pulsating cup match, last night.
The U18s side went 3-0 down to Gillingham in the first half, but pulled two goals back.
Youth boss Andy Edwards had harsh words for his patched-up side.
The Gills clung on for victory in the Football League Youth Alliance Cup Group 5 match.
“We fought back well in the second half but run out of time” reflected Edwards.
“In the end we paid the penalty for a poor first half.”
