LOAN star Nicky Adams still harbours a desire to play for Leyton Orient.

The winger who lit up the Matchroom Stadium last season said he wants to return to the club.

“Not this season. But maybe next year,” Adams told Guardian Series Sport.

“I really enjoyed my time here and I’ll never forget it. It was really good. Obviously I want to win with my new team (Rochdale), but the fans were great to me.“

Adams revealed his disappointment this summer when he learned Orient had lost out in the race to sign him from Leicester City.

“I knew Orient were in for me during the summer but they didn’t win the race for the fee, which I was hoping they would,” he said.

“So I got forced into a move to Brentford which didn’t really work out. But you just have to get on with things.

“I’m back at home now and signed for Rochdale. I’m on loan with a view to a permanent move in January.”
