ABBEY went down 2-1 away at the Ryman One pace-setters, yesterday (Saturday).
Abbotts boss Paul Wickenden had predicted a tough time from East Thurrock Utd, and so it proved as Abbey slipped to a rare defeat in 2011.
The result edges the Capershotts outfit down to 10th place in the table.
