CLAIMS that Leyton Orient have applied to quit Waltham Forest by moving into the Olympic hockey stadium have been refuted by the club.
A spokesman for the League One outfit told Guardian Series Sport that no formal application has been submitted for the venue, in Hackney.
However, the club confirmed it has registered an interest in the facility and is awaiting a response from Olympics chiefs.
Quotes circulating online today from chairman Barry Hearn stated that an application had already been submitted. But the spokesman claimed reports are out of date.
