Mark Yates says his Cheltenham Town side face a “massive task” at Spurs in the FA Cup but that yesterday’s third round draw is “brilliant”.
The League Two high-flyers were rewarded with a trip to White Hart Lane after their 4-2 win at Luton Town on Saturday and Yates told the Gloucestershire Echo: “It’s a brilliant draw for us, the top two in the Premier League [Manchester City and Manchester United] are playing each other and we’re playing the third best team in the land at the moment.
“Spurs are on a fantastic run, it’s a massive task ahead of us, but it’s a brilliant draw for us all.
“It’s fantastic for the chairman, the fans and it’s fantastic for my players.
“No one will give us a chance but we can go there, try and do ourselves proud against a top team and a top-drawer manager in Harry Redknapp.”
