Loughton Golf Club will have their first resident professional from Monday when Luke Eggleston starts his role with them.
The experienced coach has been a qualified PGA professional since 1997 and was the Essex captain last year. Eggleston still serves on the Essex PGA Committee. The former European Challenge Tour player will be responsible for all aspects of golf coaching at Loughton.
The club has a full length nine hole golf course and there will be beginner lessons and junior lessons available as well as a summer school.
Eggleston has spent the last six years working as assistant head pro at Orsett Golf Club.
Eggleston said: "I'm really looking forward to it. Over the last few weeks I've been talking to schools about what we will be offering. We are also opening a three bay driving range by the end of April and setting up a putting green by March. We're also offering £5 off the introductory price of lessons during the first month."
Lessons start at £15 for half an hour for juniors rising up to £40 an hour for adults.
For more information on his new role and the golf club contact Luke on 07908 446104.
