Harry Redknapp believes his Tottenham side can still finish above Arsenal despite slipping to fourth in the Premier League following a 1-1 draw with Stoke.

Rafael van der Vaart rescued a point for Spurs with a 93rd minute header after the home side went behind to a Cameron Jerome goal.

The result means Spurs are leap-frogged by their north London rivals who have made up a ten-point gap on the Lillywhites since January.

But Redknapp said: ““It is all to play for – we can still finish above Arsenal. Arsenal can think it’s all over but it’s not all over – there’s a long way to go yet. It’s all to play for still. They’re not going to win every game I don’t think.”

After his side struggled to break down a resurgent Potters defence in the first half this evening, Redknapp admitted that he told his player’s Champions League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal were both winning at half time, even though the Blues were in fact drawing.

Redknapp said: “I told them they’re both winning. I said ‘we need a win tonight – a draw’s no good. Let’s be positive, let’s get after them’, but it didn’t work.

“We had a couple of good chances first half but couldn’t quite finish them and then they were always going to be dangerous on the break and from set plays.

“I said before the game ‘don’t foul’ and we gave away a free kick and gave the goal away.”

Redknapp was also quick to dismiss suggestions that Fabric Muamba’s collapse on the pitch at White Hart Lane on Saturday affected his players.

He said: “Nothing affects them they were ready to play. I just thought we were a bit panicky, we stopped passing the ball as well.

“The crowd want us to get forward, they want us to win and it’s great but we started lumping the ball forward. We had to play, we had to keep patient and if it was going to take us 20 passes to break through we had to do it.

“We’re all disappointed to have had a blip at this time of the season but we’ve got to come out of that and keep going.”
