Debden Boxing Club’s Mohammed Sheeraz put in a storming performance to claim a unanimous decision victory in Newham.
The England National finalist was boxing in front of a capacity crowd against E McDonagh from west London’s Hooks Boxing Club.
The Ilford youngster started quickly with a series of straight jabs to the head and body and showed great variation in punches over the three rounds.
It was an impressive return to action for the Valentines High School pupil after he lost out in the final of the National Schools Championship in February.
Sheeraz, an Under-44kg boxer who has been competing for just over a year, lost that bout to P Birkenhead from Liverpool’s Rotunda Boxing Club but is now hoping to meet the victor again at a show in Bolton.
