Lizzie Neave guaranteed her place in Thursday's Olympic canoe slalom K1 semi-finals with a clean run of 101.95 secs, securing herself fourth place after the first run, with the top 15 of 21 making it through.
The 25-year-old, from Stone, Staffordshire, who lives in Highams Park, received the loudest cheers of the day as she made it down the course this afternoon, at one stage leading the field after her first split.
