Wanstead & Snaresbrook eased to a seven-wicket win over Ardleigh Green in the Essex Premier Division.

After winning the toss, Wanstead managed to bowl out their opponents for just 152 runs. Rehan Hassan was the pick of their players as he destroyed the opposition taking six for 40. Joe Ellis-Grewal also chipped in with two for 29.

Wanstead's openers did not hang about with John Chambers unbeaten on 47 and Arfan Akram scoring 42. Hassan contributed 11 and an unbeaten 24 from Adnan Akram steered them to a comfortable victory. Woodford Wells suffered a 36-run defeat to Brentwood at the Old County Ground.

Their decision to put Brentwood into bat backfired as they managed to declare on 219 for nine. Rory Ellison was in decent nick taking four for 41 while Rehan Iqbal picked up two for 51.

Woodford Wells lost both openers cheaply and only Iqbal provided strong resistance with an unbeaten knock of 80. William Rogers added 32 but the others struggled as they were dismissed for 183 in 45.3 overs. 

Fives and Heronians battled to a one-wicket victory over Chingford in Division One.

Chingford batted first and Shahbaz Butt top scored for them with 70 as they declared on 204 for eight. Jamie Porter was the most effective bowler for Fives as he claimed five for 51.

In reply, Fives were pushed all the way before reaching the target for the loss of nine wickets in 48 overs. Rahul Bhome struck 41 and there were valuable contributions from Gary Edwards (29) and Ben Britton (29).

Shaun McMurray returned figures of four for 65 but Chingford still came up agonisingly short.

Loughton suffered a three-wicket defeat to Harlow at Marigolds.
The team opted to bat first and managed to score 206 all out in 48.3 overs.

Opener Farid Butt hit 47 and Hafiz Yawar Afzal added 43 for Loughton.
Harlow had enough in the tank to get to 208 for seven in 42.3 overs. Bilal Butt took four for 79 and Salim Akbar claimed three for 94 but Loughton still could not pull off the win.

In Division Three, West Essex slumped to a seven-wicket loss to Billericay.
Their decision to bat first failed to pay off as they were skittled out for just 136 in 40.4 overs. The top order all misfired and it was left to Abdul Gafangaf to hit 42 and Sajid Mahmood to hit 28.

Billericay were never really under pressure in their run chase and they reached the target in only 35 overs. Only Mahmood made any inroads with the ball taking two for 38.

Epping brushed aside Benfleet in their 136-run victory.

The side ran riot with the bat as they declared on 238 for eight from their innings. Opener Marc Meyer-Webb was in top form as he finished unbeaten on 103. Tom Hartington made a decent contribution of 42 while Matthew Barrett chipped in with 33.

Benfleet could not live with Epping as they were dismissed for 102 in 31.3 overs. Baqar Ali returned figures of three for 13 while Meyer-Webb maintained his consistency with three for 29.

Woodford Green scraped to a one-wicket win over rivals Old Parkonians.
Old Parkonians were put into bat and managed to score 191 all out. Rizwan Sadiq hit 46 and Wasim Khalid added 37.

David Hawkes impressed for Woodford Green with four for 56 while Fahad Mahmood took two for 54.

Woodford Green chased down the total for nine wickets in 44 overs. Majid Sialvi notched a half-century (50) and Chris Masters' 35 helped steer them to a narrow win. Vikram Handa took three for 42 for the beaten side.
