ARSENAL could be alerted by the availability of Valencia striker David Villa after the player admitted he would leave the Spanish side "for the good of the club".
Valencia have endured a torrid campaign in La Liga, and a number of the club's disillusioned stars could be heading for the exits.
Villa (pictured) has previously stated his admiration for Arsenal's football, and admitted that the Emirates would be his preferred destination if he was to move to England.
And the rumours are sure to shift into overdrive with the 26-year-old's announcement that he would be prepared to leave the Mestalla if required, as the club struggle to cope with the cost of their proposed new stadium.
"The players, we are at the disposal of the club," Villa told Spanish paper Marca.
"If the best thing for the club is to collect money and to transfer, I accept it, and I will do it.
"But I am also contented and I will accept whatever the club must do for next season."
