Arsenal boss appears worried about losing more stars
 |
| Arsene Wenger |
ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger believes his players should be more concerned about enhancing their personal trophy cabinets rather than their bank balance's.
The Gunners boss is clearly bracing himself for a clamber from his stars looking to earn bigger wages, following Mathieu Flamini's mega-money move to AC Milan. Reports suggest the French midfielder has more than doubled his wages at the San Siro, and it seems Wenger is worried more of his players will want to leave the Emirates in search of bigger contracts elsewhere.
"We were close this year, but we did not win and what I expect from my team is that, if you are a winner, you say 'let's come back next year and win'," the Arsenal manager said.
"If our players are not capable of doing that and just want to walk out for bigger contracts, for me that would be the biggest disappointment.
"If you are a winner you say 'you beat me now in a game but give me a chance to come back and beat you'. That's what I expect of a team.
"If they cannot do that then it means I was wrong completely in my whole judgement of this team.
"That would be the biggest disappointment for the club - not only to not win this year but to not be capable of coming back together."

i think wenger those not know how angry we are in nigeria for making us look bad this season,we lost all the troupy we could have collected and now he his talking about the player going for bigger money else where.i think if he as forgotten about that policy of buying kids by now i know flamini will not go coz we lost some pace and experience in the squared when it matters.area when we should be talking about the defence.
