Gunners boss on the trail of Martins

SPECULATION remains rife that Arsenal are in the hunt for Newcastle forward Obafemi Martins.

It is not the first time the Gunners have been linked with a move for the Nigerian international.

With Eduardo out for at least six months with a broken leg and top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor reportedly seeking more money elsewhere, Martins (pictured) may yet prove a viable option for Wenger.

Arsenal were interested in Martins during his time at Inter Milan, while there were also rumours of a bid last year, but no official bid was made.
