PREMIER LEAGUE new boys West Bromwich Albion are keen to take Arsenal defender Alexandre Song on loan next season.
The Cameroonian centre-half has impressed for the Gunners during the club's final few games of the season after getting his chance to partner William Gallas at the heart of the defence.
Wenger is thought to hold the young African in high esteem and is keen for him to gain some first-team experience elsewhere.
However it is understood that West Brom manager Tony Mowbray is keen to introduce a clause that will make the deal permanent if the club retain their top flight status next year.
Song has already had a spell on loan at Charlton two seasons ago, where he impressed as a defensive midfielder. But Wenger is thought to see the 20-year-old as a centre-back.
