Fourth XI Premier Division

Wanstead & Snaresbrook Fifths remain at the top of the table despite drawing at home with lowly Basildon & Pitsea Thirds.

The hosts declared on 229 for seven which was beyond Basildon but Wanstead were unable to find the last wicket required for victory.

Woodford Green Thirds held on to claim a draw from their match against Harold Wood Fourths.

Wood won the toss and elected to bat – they went on to declare with the score at 204 for nine from 52 overs.

Green’s innings wasn’t spectacular but they managed to seal the draw, ending on 166 for eight from their 46 overs.

Fourth XI Division One

Fives & Heronians Fourths beat Wanstead & Snaresbrook Sixths by 76 runs.

Fives posted 256 which was too much for Wanstead, who were bowled out for 180.

Andre Byfield was the pick of the Fives attack, taking five for 49.

Wanstead Sixths host Buckhurst Hill Fourths on Saturday. Fives Fourths are away to Old Parkonians Thirds.

Buckhurst Hill Fourths are joint top after beating lowly Horndon on the Hill Thirds by 88 runs.

The Fourths set a target of 203 which proved too strong for Horndon, who could only manage a total of 115.

Ali Azad took five for 43 for Buckhurst.

Buckhurst Hill Fourths travel to Wanstead & Snaresbrook Sixths on Saturday.

Epping Thirds lost heavily to Chelmsford Fifths.

Chelmsford declared on 281 for four and despite a brave opening stand from Graham Preston (17) and Saleem Raza (44), Epping were bowled out for 126.

Epping Thirds are at home on Saturday to Shenfield Fourths.

Fourth XI Division Three

South Woodford Fifths were beaten heavily by Southend-on-Sea Sixths.

Southend batted first and scored 227. Woodford were off-colour at the crease however, and were dismissed cheaply for 104.

The Fifths play Basildon & Pitsea Fourths at home on Saturday.

Loughton Fifths continued their fine start to the season with an 89-run home win over Stanford Le Hope.

The hosts, who are top of the table, hit 216 as Tony Barritt carried his bat for 75.

Stanford were bowled out for 127 as Neal Jani and Humayun Ikram took three wickets each.

An impressive bowling performance helped Old Parkonians Fourths secure a comfortable eight-wicket win against Harold Wood Fifths.

The wickets were shared out among the Parkonians bowlers as they restricted Wood to 125 all out.

It took just 17 overs for Old Parkonians to reach their target. Gobichandru Jeevakumar (68 not out) and Thiru Maniccadevan(17 not out) saw them home for the lost of two wickets.

Chingford Fifths suffered a three-wicket defeat to Basildon & Pitsea Fourths.

Chingford set a target of 161 which Basildon knocked off in 35 overs.

The Fifths are away to Stanford Le Hope Fifths on Saturday.
