Buckhurst Hill are through to the quarter-finals of the Dukes League Cup after beating Gidea Park & Romford by six wickets.
Choosing to bat first, Gidea Park posted 182, with Buckhurst’s Joe Slisz claiming best figures of three for 27.
In reply, Alexander Maskell (80) and Ed Buxton (31) led the way for Buckhurst before Jamie Allen (30) confirmed the victory.
Buckhurst Hill will now face Harlow in the last eight.
ESSEX SUNDAY LEAGUE
Premier Division
South Woodford thrashed Waltham at home by 155 runs in their first game of the Sunday season.
Woodford posted 238, with Harry Neicho carrying his bat for 74, while Krishan Vadher was dismissed for 72.
Waltham came up well short in their chase as they were bowled out for 123.
Jake McMullen took three wickets, while Javed Iqbal, Bradley Cooper and Vadher took two apiece.
South Woodford are at home to Harold Wood on Sunday.
