Premier Division
Walthamstow are breathing down the necks of the top two in the division after recording an eight-wicket win over Ace Cricket & Sports Club on Saturday.
Ace won the toss and decided to bat and the visitors put on 196 for nine from their 45 overs.
Stow’s Deepan Kandeepan was the pick of the attack, taking four for 32, while Zisan Abedin managed two wickets.
In reply, Stow were in ruthless form as Hamza Mahmood (80) and Abedin (85) were both unbeaten and guided the hosts home for the loss of only two wickets.
Walthamstow are at home on Saturday to Goresbrook.
Division One
Walthamstow Seconds beat Chadwell Heath by 87 runs with Shafiq Rashid hitting 94.
Rashid’s excellent innings was supplemented by Shanwaz Shaikh (70) and Saghir Rabbani (45) en route to a total of 271 for four.
That proved more than enough as Chadwell were dismissed for 184.
Talha Saleem claimed four for 33, while Faheem Hasan took three for 27.
The Seconds are away on Saturday to Goresbrook Seconds.
Division Two Walthamstow Thirds suffered a heavy ten-wicket defeat to Newham Seconds.
Stow posted 234 but Newham brushed that off and made 271 without loss.
On Saturday, the Thirds play Bow Green at home.
