ONE-time Division Two leaders Harlow finally ended their winless run at the weekend and skipper James Butler is now hoping to end the season on a high in the final game of 2008 on Saturday.
The Marigolds Men, who have slipped to seventh in the table after a dreadful run of form finally returned to winning ways with a narrow victory over basement boys Southend-on-Sea on Saturday.
And skipper Butler is hopeful a victory over fifth place Leigh on Saturday made some further respectability to what has otherwise been a frustrating campaign.
He said: “Given how well we started the season we are all disappointed with the lack of form we've shown recently.
“But it was great to get a win back on the board on Saturday, and hopefully that will give the boys a bit more confidence that we can make it two on the bounce, because there is still a chance of finish sixth.
“Leigh are a good side, but we beat them fairly convincingly in the first game at home although in very different circumstances to which we find ourselves in now.
“But our tails are up at the moment after last weekend, so with a bit of application I hope we can achieve a positive end the most up and down season I have ever been involved in on a high.”
