Wycombe Wanderers 2
Dagenham and Redbridge 1
(League Two)
BEN STREVENS missed an injury-time penalty as Dagenham and Redbridge let a point slip through their fingers against ten-man Wycombe.
Wanderers went down to ten men with just 22 minutes on the clock at Adams Park, when Wales under-21 striker Simon Church saw red for a two-footed lunge at Peter Gain.
However, the hosts went in front on 34 minutes when Mike Williamson's header from a Lewis Spence corner looped into the net.
Strevens equalised for the east Londoners 12 minutes after the interval, hitting a low drive on the turn for his fourth goal of the season.
But Wanderers' winner came just moments later, defender Williamson heading home his second from another Spence cross.
Strevens had a chance to salvage a point on 94 minutes after Glenn Southam had been hauled down by Chris Zebroski.
But the Daggers forward dragged his spot kick wide wide of the target.
Dag & Red: Roberts, Nurse, Okuonghae, Uddin, Griffiths, Saunders, Taiwo (Southam 72), Gain, Graham (Nwokeji 65), Benson, Strevens. Subs Not Used: Thompson, Boardman, Tejan-Sie.
