DAGENHAM and Redbridge defender Magnus Okuonghae appears to be heading closer to the Victoria Road exit door after he turned down the club's latest offer of a new contract.
The highly-rated centre-back turned plenty of heads with a string of commanding performances in League Two last season and was named the Daggers' player of the year. That form has attracted a growing list of clubs now queuing up for his signature.
The 23-year-old's representatives confirmed that they were holding talks with a number of clubs.
“We can confirm that Magnus has rejected his latest contract offer, and we are now in talks with other clubs,” his advisor Uben Gray told Sky Sports.
Okuonghae's departure would be a hefty blow to manager John Still, after seeing key trio Ben Strevens, Sam Saunders and Danny Foster leave to join last season's League Two champions Brentford.
