Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Peter Gain could be ruled out for up to two months due to a knee injury.
The 35-year-old suffered medial ligament damage in the Boxing Day fixture against Barnet, a game the Daggers won 3-0.
Gain initially continued to play on in the match but was brought off before half time and was expected to be on the sidelines for around four to six weeks.
However, following a scan Gain will need to undergo surgery for the second time this season and faces six to eight weeks recovery time.
