HARLOW captain James Butler believes that club's new overseas recruit can help inspire them to a Division Two promotion push this season.
The Marigolds men finished a disappointing seventh last season and have endured a poor pre-season, but Butler confident his troops can deliver the good this season.
He said: " We have recruited a good young overseas in 19-year-old Kiwi Tom Worthington, who has played Wellington rep cricket.
"Tom has done very well since joining up with us three weeks ago and should strengthen the side this year.
"With better availability from Zap Nazir and Luke Heskett as well this season, we should have some edge to our bowling attack.
"The recruitment of Haroon Khan from Buckhurst Hill in addition to the retention of Nilesh Odedra should add weight to our batting line-up as well.

"So while we've had a poor pre-season, I feel very positive that we can mount a real push for promotion this season."
Harlow begin their league campaign with a tough derby match at home to Fives and Heronians this Saturday and Butler is looking forward to the action getting underway.
He said: "Fives will probably be one of the strongest teams again in the Division this year after just missing out on promotion last season.
"So we know we are in for a real test from the off, but if you want to do well yourself this is the sort of game we need to win.
"I'm sure if everyone performs to their full capabilities on the day, then I don't see why we can't start the league season with a victory."
