OLD PARKONIANS captain Bob Curtis recognises that his side will be in for a tough encounter as they welcome Woodford Green to Forest Road.
Curtis admitted his team "got out of jail" at the weekend as they picked up 11 points in the draw to Epping, despite losing influential overseas player Dan Rootes in the first over of the match.
"We got a bit lucky on Saturday," conceded Curtis. "Dan had to go off right at the start after suffering a recurrence of a hand injury so we were left one bowler short and could have gone on to the lose the game, but we managed to hang on and I was pleased with the draw."
And Curtis is keeping his feet firmly on the ground ahead of the side's clash with Woodford Green this week, insisting he would be content with the another 11 point haul as a number of his young side are missing due to exams.
"Woodford are a very good side so we don't want to get too carried away," continued Curtis. "I'm confident that the team can pick up points but we're missing a few players to exams. So another 10 or 11 points would be good."
