Having Epping learnt their lesson?

EPPING captain Shahid Majeed has urged his side to learn from their mistakes against Old Parkonians last week and pick up their first win of the season against Billericay on Saturday.

Epping came up 19 runs shy of their rivals' total last week and were forced to settle for a draw after refusing to go for the jugular in the latter stages of their chase. And Majeed is keen for his side to take a few more risks and go for the win this time around.

"While I was disappointed we didn't go on and win on Saturday, I was still pleased with our overall performance," said Majeed.

"In the end we couldn't risk going for the win against Old Parks, although early on it looked like we would cruise it.

"Hopefully we've learnt our lesson from that and I'm sure it will be a high scoring game at Billericay.

"They've got some very good batsmen in their team so we know we will be in for another hard match.

"Hopefully we will tighten up in the field and if we can push on with the bat this weekend, we can put our first win on the board."
