WILLIAM ROGERS believes he has two aces in his pack that can make the difference as Woodford Wells search for their first win of the season against Westcliff on Sea on Saturday.
Wells posted a daunting target of 264 for Chelmsford to chase last week, but Rogers' side fell one wicket short of victory, despite the best efforts of Luke O'Reilly and Hasan Chowdhury.
Batsman Chowdhury plundered 109 runs to help put Wells in a commanding position, while O'Reilly took a five-wicket haul as they went for the win, only to have to settle for a draw and 12 points. And skipper Rogers believes his two star performers will play key roles in what he knows will be a tough season ahead.
"Hasan is a very gifted player. He makes the game look so easy and it looks like he can score a ton every match," enthused Rogers. "Luke was excellent on Saturday, at times he was unplayable and that is the sort of performances we need.
"It's going to be a very tough game against Westcliff this weekend, like every game will be this year."
Rogers goes into the game with a strong squad, although he was careful not to get carried away.

"We've got a very good team to put out this week even though we're not at full-strength. But it's important that we don't get too confident because we know Westcliff can cause us problems."
