SOUTH WOODFORD captain Richard Browne is convinced his side can earn their first win of the season against local rivals Chingford on Saturday.
Browne saw his men put up a battling display against one of the division's favourites Brentwood, only to fall shy losing by three wickets.
However Browne has identified Chingford as a match the team are capable of winning after conceding that they may have to play for points against the division's top teams.
"At the start of the season we highlighted the games that we thought we could win and this is one of them," stated Browne. "There are a lot of good teams in this league and sometimes we might have to just look to hold out for a draw to get some points on the board.
"That isn't taking anything away from Chingford, but like us they aren't really seen as one of the big teams, although being a derby match we know they will also be right up for it as well."
South Woodford will face Chingford for the first time in the Premier League and he believes that if the team can replicate the form showed last week, they'll be in with an great chance.
"If we perform like we did last weekend then I think we will have a chance and hopefully if we can get someone to come up with a knock of between 80, 90 or 100 runs then I'm sure we'll really be in the running."

A poker game with a BIG difference was held in Walthamstow. The event, billed as possibly the 'Most Dangerous Poker Tournament in the World', pitted more than 70 punters against the massive newly-crowned British Cage Rage Heavyweight Champion Mustapha Al Turk, who is also a dab hand on the poker table. The Guardian sent its very own cardsharp, sports reporter ROSS DAVIES, to try and win the special prize by knocking out Mr Al Turk.
