BUCKHURST Hill skipper Russell Beckett is confident of upsetting the odds this weekend as his side take on table-topping Billericay.
The men from Roding Lane will be looking for a better result on Saturday after they were narrowly beaten by Old Brentwoods last weekend.
However, with a new recruit and players returning, Beckett is confident of springing a surprise when the two teams meet in Billericay.
He said: "We have a new player, an all rounder, playing. We also have a a spinner back and the wicket-keeper back, so we should perform a lot better this week.
"I played against them last year when they were in division two and I didn't think that they were anything special. We are very confident going into the game."
Speaking of the surroundings at Billericay's Toby Howe Cricket Ground, Beckett added: "It's a lovely pitch and a lovely place to play cricket.
"The deck turns a bit and we have our leg spinner back which should help.
"If we beat Billericay it will tighten the top of the table and hopefully we are entering the stronger part of our season as we have players returning back from university.
"Every game we have played this season we have had the stronger team."
