Roberts asked to stay on, while four are released

First published in Sport

TONY Roberts is among three Dagenham & Redbridge players to have been offered a new deal by the club in the wake of their relegation from League One.

Roberts, who will turn 42 before the start of next season, has been offered a contract to remain with the club as they seek to bounce straight back to League One.

Midfielder Darren Currie and defender Will Antwi are the other two players to have been offered new deals.

However, four players have been released. Phil Ifil, striker Bas Savage, Graeme Montgomery and Tommy Tejan-Sie have all been shown the door at Victoria Road.
