WEST HAM co-chairman David Gold insists the club have not held discussions with Cardiff City boss Dave Jones about the vacant manager's position.
Speculation has been rife that Jones is one of a number of names being considered by the Hammers to replace Avram Grant, who was sacked afte the club were relegated from the Premier League two weeks ago.
Gold used his Twitter feed to notify supporters that Jones has not been approached.
Other names thought to be in the frame are Chris Hughton, Sam Allardyce, Neil Warnock and Martin O'Neill.
