Tony Fernandes tells Twitter he has made a bid to take over the Hammers

AIRASIA chief Tony Fernandes has revealed on Twitter that he has made a formal offer for West Ham United.

Hammers fan Fernandes was heavily linked with a takeover before current incumbents David Gold and David Sullivan stepped in last January, but he now appears to have made a renewed attempt to wrestle control of the newly-relegated club.

He wrote on his Twitter account this afternoon: “For all you West Ham fans an offer has gone to the present owners of west ham. Let’s see if they accept.”
