ORIENT made their first signing of the season on Friday with the acquisition of defender Scott Cuthbert from Swindon Town.
The 23-year-old, who was out of contract with the Robins, put pen to paper on a two-year deal at Brisbane Road.
Cuthbert is predominantly a centre-back, but can also fill in at right back. His signing boosts the O’s defensive options, following the departures of Andrew Whing and Aaron Brown.
Cuthbert has previously played for Celtic and represented Scotland up to under-21 level.
He told the club website: “I’m absolutely delighted to have signed for Orient. As soon as I heard about the interest in me I was keen to come down here and get things sorted.
“It’s a great club that wants to move forward and I want to be a part of that.”
