A PLEA for support has been made by wrestlers holding a charity event to raise money for a Chingford church.
LDN Wresting is holding the event to raise money for St Edmunds Church in Larkswood Road.
Students aged 16 to 30 have been learning their craft over the last two years under the supervision of British Heavyweight Champion Jon Ritchie and 17-year veteran Justin Richards when they attended LDN Wrestling Academy in Edmonton.
Richards said: "Some of these youths were on the streets doing stuff they shouldn't before they got into wrestling.
"But with the wrestling they have found themselves some focus and now are working towards living their dream. This is their first chance and we need your support."
The event takes place at Ryan Hall on the junction with Larkshall Road and New Road on Saturday, June 14.
The bill includes British Champion Jon Ritchie taking on student Geff Stone while the academy's championship is on the line when Wolf Alexander battles Johnny Lee.
Tickets cost £5 and are available either on the door or can be booked in advance.
Doors open at 4pm while the action starts at 4.15pm.
To book your tickets call 07930 218 243.
