Buckhurst Hill 4
Elmwood Colts 2
(U13s Essex County Cup final) BUCKHURST Hill U13s are this year's Essex Cordell County Cup winners and now go on to represent the county in next season's nationwide Tesco Cup.
Hill opened the scoring, through Parman but Elmwood struck back within minutes with a superb goal.
The game continued at a furious pace but Elmwood could not penetrate the defence of Kashket, Gent, Cosson and Woolward.
Hill's strength in midfield with Young and Munro was just too powerful for Elmwood.
Young unleashed a 25-yard bullet of a shot which hit the back of the net.
Elmwood reciprocated in identical fashion following a free kick.
With the score at 2-2 at half time, Hill switched to a more aggressive and tenacious attack for the second period.
The addition of Payne, Gilchrist and Golding, gave Hill pace and trickery.
Elmwood battled relentlessly giving Hill's keeper Ritchie the opportunity to pull off some superb saves.
Cosson cruised through the midfield to pass to Gilchrist who relayed the ball to Woodrow to put Hill back in the lead.
Substitutes McCormack and McAleer assisted the midfield with their pace and agility.
With four minutes to go, Payne unleashed a left-foot volley which rocketed into the net sealing Buckhurst Hill's victory.
