Snaresbrook Youth 3 Brentwood Athletic A 0
(Chelmsford Youth League U17s)

A BRACE from Dave Otley helped Snaresbrook Youth to yet another league victory.

Otley scored his first after ten minutes.

The next came when the skillful Josh Woodcock fired an excellent shot straight into the corner of the net from distance.

Brentwood went straight back on the attack but were met by a fine save from Snaresbrook keeper Toby Smyth.

The Brook's third goal came via a great header by Otley following an excellent cross from Mitchell Collymore.

Three magnificent saves throughout the match meant the Brook's keeper Smyth once again kept a cleansheet, helped by the defence of Tom Mah, Cary Smith and Collymore.

Soccer Skills 4 Woodford Youth 0
(Echo League U8s) SKILLS' Sergeant opened the scoring after some skillful play by Searle.

Woodford tried to push forward but found it difficult to breach the home defence.

Skills' second goal came midway through the half. Searle skipped past two players, cut inside on to his right foot and fired high into the top corner.

Just before the break some great passing play resulted in Sergeant keeping a cool head to slot calmly past the keeper.

The second half saw Woodford push hard for a goal, but keeper Cox was up to the task.

The final flourish came when Smith converted a cross from the left after a goalmouth scramble.

Boca B 5 Soccer Skills 1
(Echo League U13s) HARRY Parsons was the difference, scoring four of the home sides' five goals.

Boca's normal frantic pace was subdued by a good performance from Soccer Skills.

The midfield was the key, Coakley, Hellen, Fuller and Ley, having to work hard.

Parsons' first goal, a delightful lob, was as good as his second.

Soccer Skills then gave away a free-kick 40 yards out and dead-ball specialist Burrell sent the ball screaming into the net.

Parsons sealed his hat-trick after 26 minutes, slotting home from a massive goal clearance by Boca keeper Bransgrove.

Soccer Skills re-shaped for the second half, Pickston scoring directly from a corner to give the away team a glimmer of hope.

This hope was soon washed away as Parsons, once again forced his way through to find himself in front of goal, and on his third attempt scored his fourth goal.

Writtle 0 Redbridge Ladies 2
(Plate competition U11s) Redbridge avenged the Cup defeat of earlier this season by beating their North Division rivals in this Plate group semi-Final.

Built upon excellent defensive work from Grace and Humberstone-Gilroy and slick passing by all of the midfield, The initial breakthrough came from a simple long ball from Hynes.

With pace and strength, Small outstripped the home defence and powerfully drove a right-footed effort into the corner of the net.

The lead was extended shortly following a well-worked move involving Pau and Shaw-Salmon which Taylor rounded off.

Writtle applied more pressure in the second half.

Redbridge defended superbly and regained their composure, creating four more clear-cut chances.

Smith and Pau came closest to extending the lead.
