Leyton Orient captain Nathan Clarke admits this is the lowest point of his O's career but insists the time for talking is over and the players need to start getting results to end their slump.

The O's lost their third successive match on Saturday as their winless run at home this season continued following a 2-1 defeat to Swindon Town.

When asked if it was his lowest moment at the club, Clarke said: "Of course. I am disappointed being captain of a club like this you want to do as well as you can and make sure the players and fans are happy as well as the staff and management.

"That's not the case at the moment and we need to find some form and turn this around quickly. Talking now needs to come to an end and players need to go out there and do the business."

Clarke was dropped by caretaker boss Kevin Nugent for last weekend's defeat to Rochdale. But the centre-back insists he used his disappointment to force his way back into the side.

Clarke said: "The manager was more than open with me before the game and said he wanted to look at something different.

"Obviously as captain I was disappointed not being involved but I made sure I vented that disappointment in the right way, got behind the lads as much as I could and was hoping for the right result for them although it wasn't to be.

"We worked on a few things in training at the end of last week and I was just glad to be back in and playing."
