Chris Dagnall has not had any talks over a new contract at Orient despite his current deal ending at the end of the season but the striker insists he has no reason to move on.

Dagnall has been one of the O's best players this season and has scored 12 goals as the club strive to avoid relegation. The 28-year-old's contract expires this summer but he has yet to hold talks with the club about extending his stay in London.

Dagnall said: "I've not heard anything so far so just have to wait and see like everyone else. I'm settled in the area and my girlfriend loves it here. I've got no reason to move on at the moment so we'll see what happens and talk about it in the summer."

The former Barnsley striker played a key role in Orient's comprehensive home win over Yeovil Town on Saturday. Dagnall scored the opening goal and believes the side's performance was up with their best of the season.

Dagnall said: "It was the perfect start from us. We went out straight from the off and put the pressure on Yeovil and that paid off with the first goal in the opening couple of minutes.

"We could have been 4 or 5-0 up at half time and the pressure we put on for 45 minutes was superb by the lads. We got the two goals and killed it off in the second half.

"The first half was probably one of the best 45 minutes of the season. I thought we dominated from start to finish. The back four and the midfield four were superb. To go in with a clean sheet and a couple of goals you couldn't ask for much more."

Dagnall started alongside Darius Henderson in attack on Saturday for only the sixth time. It is a partnership which appears to play to their strengths and Dagnall enjoyed combining with the target man.

He said: "Darius has had a lot of injuries but you know what you're going to get from Hendo. I think he did really well in the first half but his legs went a bit in the second half which was understandable.

"I think my whole career I've always played well alongside a big lad up top and he's the perfect type of striker to play with."

Dagnall comes up against one of his former clubs tonight with in-form Barnsley the latest visitors to Brisbane Road.

The striker said: "I'm really looking forward to it. There are still a few faces there from my time and it will be good to see them. They're doing really well at the moment but we've got to concentrate on ourselves."
