Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani praised his side's performance and insisted his only disappointment was their failure to score in the 0-0 draw at home to Barnsley.

The O's dominated much of the contest with visiting goalkeeper Adam Davies making a string of impressive saves to frustrate the hosts.

Orient slipped down a place to 22nd in the League One table but Liverani took encouragement from his team's display.

Liverani said: "Today's match was very good for us and the only bad thing was we didn't score. The performance was very good and the team and the players produced a big match tonight. I'm very happy for my team.

"I'm not feeling lucky tonight because we lacked precision and weren't clinical in front of goal.

"The Barnsley goalkeeper was good but having said that we should have scored. It's disappointing because we had big chances to score."

Veteran striker Kevin Lisbie joined Stevenage on a one-month loan today which probably signalled the end of his Orient career with his contract expiring this summer.

Liverani explained that the competition for places in attack was the reason behind Lisbie's move.

The manager said: "The team has six forwards so it's not possible to play all of them. We agreed together with the player, who is also a free agent at the end of the season, that he wanted some games to play.

"We can't play six altogether so it was better for him to go somewhere else and have a chance to play."

Liverani added: "He is very professional and has a good relationship with me. He has a lot of respect and was a good player last year for the club. He has a lot of respect from everyone but he would prefer to play on loan."
