Leyton Orient boss Fabio Liverani praised his side's character after fighting back to earn a 3-3 draw with Gillingham but insists they will have to improve their defending if they want to stay up.
The O's were heading for defeat after trailing 3-1 at home to the Gills this afternoon but goals from Darius Henderson and Josh Wright rescued a point.
Liverani, whose side are one place above the League One relegation zone, said: "Given the circumstances I'm pleased because we were losing 3-1 after ten minutes of the second half. I'm very pleased with the reaction of the players and in the end it is a good point.
"But if we want to avoid relegation soon we have to concede much less and make less mistakes."
When asked about their defensive problems during the match, the Italian said: "It's a bit disappointing because in the last few games we've conceded much less defensively. Hopefully today was just a one off but it's something we have to work on in the next five days before the next away game."
Orient had their biggest attendance of the season with 6,394 fans at the Matchroom Stadium. Liverani applauded the backing from the O's supporters and thinks his side would not have rescued a point without them.
He said: "I'm really pleased with the support of the fans. They really gave us a boost today and it is really important that they continue to do that.
"It was a magic atmosphere today and I don't think we would have come back without their support."
