Leyton Orient head coach Ian Hendon is hopeful of adding to his squad before this weekend's game at Crawley Town.

The O's have a small squad and have lost striker Paul McCallum for six months after he suffered cruciate ligament damage.

It seems clear Hendon's priority is to bring in an experienced forward and he is optimistic of making at least one addition this week.

Speaking on Saturday, Hendon said: "We'll probably be looking as well this week to maybe add at least one or two. We'll see how we go.

"We've been trying last week, I wouldn't say desperately, but we've been trying to strengthen so we'll see how we go this week."

Hendon added: "I have a specific type that I want. We've got young Scott [Kashket] on the bench so I don't want to go down that route taking an untried youngster. I want someone that's been around it and played at this level or above.

"That's where we're looking and I've got a couple of options that we tried to arrange last week but the other club wouldn't allow it. We'll have to pick it up after the weekend. I'm very hopeful of doing something before the weekend."
